DESCRIPTION
Charis Services, LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and Federal Contractor, specializing in providing transportation services to Federal Agencies across the United States. We provide Wheelchair Van Transportation, Sedan and Special Mode Transportation, as well as Valet Parking Services. We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Wheelchair Transportation Assistant Supervisor to join our leadership team. The Assistant Supervisor will be responsible for direct daily employee contact to respond to both client and employee needs, address any problems, and ensure quality performance of duties. The Assistant Supervisor will work in conjunction with the Operations Manager to ensure the fleet is fully operational. Our drivers perform wheelchair (W/C) patient transportation to and from patient residences, hospitals and clinics in the Fayetteville, NC area. Potential candidates must be able to pass Drug Screening Test and Background Checks. Must be responsible, courteous, and customer service focused. Must be at least 21 years old and a US Citizen.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure driver safety and train new drivers. Carry out company policies (Enforce dress code, Meal/Break policy, etc.). Perform spot checks and ensure drivers are maintaining cleanliness of vehicles. Uses various computer applications, such as RouteGenie, Email, MS Excel, MS Word and monitor vehicles using tracking system. Report any vehicle malfunctions or needed repairs. Maintain knowledge of first-aid procedures. Prepare and submit reports that may include the number of passengers or trips, hours worked, mileage, fuel consumption, or fares received. Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions. Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations. Document and forward up incidents and accidents immediately to Operations Manager. Clearly communicate with others and uses phone/radios when necessary Follow all departmental procedures and policies to ensure efficient, safe & secure operations Ensure great customer service at all levels. May drive when needed and provide through-the-door non-emergency transportation services Smile, make eye contact and verbally greet guests upon pick-up Assist as needed with wheelchairs; provide other assistance as needed Work as a team player Must be able to multitask. Must have a flexible schedule. Other administrative task as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years management/supervisory/leadership experience Drive automatic/manual vehicles and properly secure wheelchairs 2+ years in W/C patient transportation industry & passion for service 5 years driving experience Current NC Driver's license w/no DUI's/reckless driving within last 5 years Professional appearance; neatly groomed to impress High school
