$24.00 per hour + Performance Bonus Job Summary GLS Landscaping & Maintenance is looking for an experienced Landscape Installation Crew Leader to lead a 3-4 person crew performing commercial landscape installation and enhancement work. This is a hands-on field leadership position . You will work alongside your crew while being responsible for production, quality, safety, equipment, materials, and completing projects within the hours provided. We are looking for someone who already knows the landscape industry and is ready to lead. This is not an entry-level position . Minimum Qualifications Minimum 2 years of verifiable professional landscaping experience Previous experience leading a crew of 3-4 employees Commercial landscape installation and enhancement experience Ability to identify common weeds, turf, plants, shrubs, and trees Knowledge of proper planting, pruning, mulching, bed preparation, sod installation, grading, and landscape practices Ability to understand and execute job scopes Ability to read basic landscape plans, measurements, and material quantities Experience safely operating commercial landscape equipment OSHA certification required Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to safely drive a truck and trailer Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for timekeeping, photographs, and job documentation Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to work Equipment Experience Candidates must be comfortable operating commercial landscape equipment, including: Skid steers Mini skid steers Commercial mowers Tillers and bed-preparation equipment String trimmers and edgers Backpack blowers Hedge trimmers Chainsaws and pruning equipment Trucks and trailers Other landscape construction and enhancement equipment Equipment operating ability will be tested during the interview process. Please do not indicate that you are proficient with a piece of equipment unless you can safely demonstrate that proficiency. Responsibilities Lead and work alongside a 3-4 person landscape crew Review the job scope before beginning work Organize the crew and assign daily responsibilities Ensure the correct equipment and materials are loaded for each project Complete commercial landscape installation and enhancement projects Install trees, shrubs, plants, sod, mulch, and other landscape materials Perform bed preparation, grading, pruning, removals, and property improvements Identify weeds, plants, and common landscape conditions Maintain high standards for workmanship and job-site appearance Track crew progress against estimated labor hours Maintain production expectations while protecting quality and safety Minimize material waste and unnecessary rework Perform final quality checks before leaving the property Maintain clean and organized trucks, trailers, equipment, and job sites Train and develop crew members Follow all GLS and customer safety requirements Complete required timekeeping, photos, and field documentation Immediately communicate job-site problems, customer requests, damages, or changes in scope to management Performance Bonus In addition to hourly pay, the Landscape Crew Leader is eligible for a performance-based bonus tied to measurable KPIs .
