General Office Summary :
Perform the managerial and administrative duties necessary to efficiently carry out the current fleet policies and procedures of The Building Center. Develop, implement, maintain, and review company policies and procedures related to the functionality, safety, and efficiency of The Building Center's fleet vehicles and assets and Commercial Motor Vehicle drivers.
Job Duties & Responsibilities :
Administration of the Fleet Driver program, including: Manage the New Driver Hiring Process Support Driver Training Create and Maintain Driver Qualification Files Oversee Driver Hours of Service Records and Process Oversee Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) Records and Process Assist with creating and maintaining Unit Files and Credentials Manage Fleet Fueling vendor relationships and tools Manage Vehicle-Based Electronic Equipment Manage and execute CDL and Non-CDL (with Medical Card) Drug and Alcohol Program including the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse Manage Driver and Company Compliance with all

rules and regulations Support Division Operations Leadership by: Coordinating selection, onboarding, and management of 3rd party maintenance providers and agreements to support necessary unit preventative maintenance and repairs. Reviewing and escalation for approval of maintenance activities >$5,000 in cost. Coordinating renewals of necessary driver credentials, including Medical Cards. Supporting creation of Fleet-specific policies and procedures. Conducting appropriate Driver and Operations Leader training on Fleet-specific policies and procedures, systems, and processes. Coordinate with Human Resources and Division Managers to complete the necessary steps in the hiring process for new drivers. Support Corporate Fleet & Safety Team Leadership by: Manage on-boarding of new fleet assets, transfers of existing assets to locations across the company, and sales of aging/damaged assets. Assisting with Motor Vehicle-related Accident Investigation and Reporting Meeting with Fleet-related Vendors to develop and manage 3rd party managed services. Act as the Fleet Super-User and Business Administrator for the following Fleet systems:

Samsara Fuel Systems:
Fuel Cloud/Great Lakes WEX Fleet Sharepoint Site (in partnership with IT)
Driver Qualification File System:
JJ Keller & Associates' Datasense Support Finance team with information from vehicle/asset acquisition, location transfers, and sales. Enter support tickets with IT team for changes to Driver phones/MDM online. Enter support tickets with IT team for onboarding and offboarding of drivers to/from Bistrack. Act as a back-up for the Director of Fleet & Safety when that role is on vacation/out sick. Field Fleet related questions from Senior Corporate Leadership, Division Managers and Operations leaders. Support daily, weekly, monthly and annual Fleet metrics and KPI development, monitoring, and communication to Senior Leaders and the Field. Assist with annual driver meetings and annual Division asset reviews. Complete projects as assigned. Performs other duties, as assigned
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :
Customer service experience in a maintenance or production environment Significant experience using a computer (laptop and/or desktop), smartphone, tablet, the internet, and applications and web services. Working knowledge in the following areas, with some type of previous professional/educational experience: Preventative maintenance scheduling and execution Database creation, data entry, data interpretation Report creation and interpretation Decision making Face-to-face, voice, and on-line communications Negotiations skills Must have and be able to keep a NC/SC Class C drivers license Must have a professional demeanor and experience working and interacting with all levels of workforce, from Drivers to Senior Company Leadership Experience in working with 3rd party vendors and contract creation and review
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :
People leadership experience in a maintenance or production environment Certifications and training in fleet management, maintenance management, operations Safety experience and certifications Experience with installation and maintenance of vehicle camera and GPS devices/systems Have a valid and current CDL-A or CDL-B license Experience with maintenance related administrative computer applications/systems (parts ordering and cataloging, preventative maintenance and corrective repair tracking, etc.)
