We run efficient crews, expect professionalism, and take pride in doing clean, safe, technical work. Position Overview We're hiring a Lead Climber who can take control of a job from start to finish. This is not an entry-level role. You need to be confident in the tree, on the ropes, and leading a crew on the ground. We will pay accordingly. We are open March-October . We shut down November-February and do not provide work Responsibilities Perform technical tree climbing for removals and pruning (SRT/DRT) Safely rig and dismantle large trees, including complex and hazardous removals Operate chainsaws, rigging equipment, and aerial lifts when needed Lead and direct ground crew efficiently Ensure job site safety and clean-up standards are met Communicate with clients professionally when needed Identify hazards, plan cuts, and execute jobs without constant supervision Requirements 4-5+ years professional tree climbing experience Strong rigging knowledge (negative rigging, speedlining, etc.) Ability to safely remove large trees in tight or technical environments Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus) Comfortable leading a crew and making decisions on-site Physically fit and able to handle demanding work Reliable—shows up and gets the job done Preferred (Not Required) ISA Certified Arborist CDL Experience with cranes or large removals Equipment operation (skid steer, bucket truck, etc.) What We Offer Competitive pay based on skill Performance bonuses for efficient, profitable jobs Steady spring, summer, and fall work Opportunity to grow into foreman or operations roles If you can't confidently: Tie in, set lines, and move efficiently in canopy Run a removal independently.
