We specialize in improving and maintaining residential properties, with a strong focus on vacant rental turns, investment properties, and remodel projects. We take pride in doing quality work, moving projects efficiently, and creating homes that are safe, clean, functional, and ready for residents. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Remodeling Supervisor / Lead Tradesman to join our team and help lead crews in the field. Position Overview The Remodeling Supervisor / Lead Tradesman is responsible for overseeing residential remodeling projects from start to finish. This role is hands-on and requires someone who can both perform skilled trade work and lead a small crew effectively. Most of our projects are completed in vacant residential properties, including rental turns, full remodels, repairs, and property upgrades. The ideal candidate is experienced in multiple trades, highly organized, comfortable managing timelines, and able to keep a crew moving while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities/Crew Leadership Lead and supervise a crew of 4-5 remodeling technicians or laborers. Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently and correctly. Train, coach, and support team members in the field. Hold crew members accountable for productivity, workmanship, safety, and professionalism. Communicate clearly with management regarding progress, delays, labor needs, and project concerns. Hands-On Remodeling Work Perform skilled residential remodeling work as needed, including: Carpentry Drywall repair and installation Flooring installation Painting and finishing work Light plumbing Light electrical Cabinetry and trim work Doors, hardware, fixtures, and general repairs Ensure work is completed to company standards and project specifications. Identify issues in the property and recommend practical solutions. Project Execution Review project scopes and understand the expected timeline, budget, and quality standards. Coordinate daily jobsite activity to keep projects moving. Ensure materials, tools, and supplies are available when needed. Work with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members to avoid delays. Track project progress and communicate updates regularly. Help solve problems in the field before they become larger issues. Quality Control Inspect work throughout each project to ensure it meets company standards. Confirm repairs and finishes are clean, complete, and move-in ready. Identify incomplete or poor-quality work and make sure it is corrected. Maintain attention to detail, especially on finish work and resident-facing areas. Safety and Jobsite Management Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite. Ensure crew members follow safety procedures and use tools properly. Follow OSHA guidelines and general construction safety best practices. Protect company tools, materials, and property. Secure vacant properties at the end of each workday. Documentation and Communication Provide updates on labor, materials, timelines, and job progress. Document work completed, changes in scope, and issues discovered during the project. Communicate professionally with management, subcontractors, vendors, and clients when needed. Take photos or notes when required to document progress or completed work. Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on residential remodeling or construction experience. Experience leading or supervising a small crew preferred. Strong knowledge of residential remodeling, repairs, materials, and construction methods. Ability to perform work in multiple trades. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in the field. Ability to read and understand scopes of work, punch lists, and project expectations. Strong communication and organization skills. High attention to detail and pride in workmanship. Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and keep projects on schedule. Must be reliable, professional, and able to work independently. Must have basic tools and reliable transportation. Valid driver's license preferred. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who knows how to run a job, not just work on one. This person understands how to walk into a vacant property, assess what needs done, organize the crew, solve problems, and push the project across the finish line. We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing things the right way, keeps the jobsite moving, and understands that quality, speed, communication, and accountability all matter. Work Environment This position is primarily field-based and will take place in residential homes throughout the Toledo area and surrounding communities. Most projects are completed in vacant properties, but some work may be performed in occupied homes or rental units as needed. Job Type Full-time Schedule Monday through Friday, with occasional additional hours as project needs require. Compensation Compensation is based on experience, skill level, and leadership ability.
