The Aircraft Ground Repositioning Coordinator (AGR) is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely movement of all aircraft by operating ground service equipment from all points on taxiways and ramp surfaces. The Team member ensures all aircraft moved in daily operations are completed by safety standards. Team members must be prepared to work outdoors under various weather- related conditions.
Responsibilities Operate multiple aircraft systems such as auxiliary power unit, electrical, hydraulic and braking systems
Communicate with both the air traffic control tower and local ramp control to successfully reposition aircraft on the tarmac which includes active taxiways and runways
Aid in securing and supporting aircraft in remote locations which includes the operation of ground service equipment (power units, air stairs, air carts, ground power unit, tug, aircraft pushback, lavatory truck, deicing truck, etc.)
Operate terminal jet bridges
Responsible for pre and post-move safety inspections
Update and log all tug moves in the database
Perform all ground and airport job functions as requested
Adhere to all safety guidelines
Operates external aircraft equipment
Guides aircraft to and from aircraft locations
Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to successfully complete and become certified as an Aircraft Repositioning Brake Rider within 6 months of being awarded position
Successfully complete Aptitude test certification
One (1) year of aviation experience (i.e., airline experience or airline service provider experience)
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License from the state of your primary residence
Aircraft brake riding experience Preferred Skills WFS OJT Level 1,2 and 3 qualified with Pushback and Towing qualifications
Able to follow safety guidelines
Able to perform under pressure and within fixed time constraints
Experience using a mouse, computer, keyboard and basic word processing, email, and office
applications
Must be able to adhere to the Worldwide Flight Service Uniform Policy Manual Standards
Able to work variable hours, and flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
Must be able to use handheld radios and headsets to communicate with the cockpit, dispatch, and other team members
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must be able to give and receive verbal communication
Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
Depending on location, you will need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance
Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Able to maintain a professional appearance Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Able to work in all types of weather conditions
Standing for extended periods of time
Required to work in the ramp area of the airport terminal
Shift work and irregular hours
Jet bridge and/or air stairs (Customer enplaning/deplaning equipment)
Able to operate handheld radios
Light Emitting Diode (LED) screens and signs
Ground operations service equipment such as tugs, trucks, aircraft push back tractor
Moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to fifty (50) pounds frequently and/or seventy to one hundred (70-100) pounds occasionally with the assistance of other people or tools and be in a position where bending, crouching, kneeling, etc. is needed.
Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
