Position Overview We are seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead our team of drivers and coordinate logistics for our construction operations. You will ensure trucks are ready and safe, oversee daily driver activities, and support equipment maintenance. This role blends field supervision with light office work and requires strong leadership and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities Supervise drivers and daily logistics. Oversee morning truck deployment and resolve vehicle issues. Conduct site visits and pre-trip checks for safety and compliance. Coach drivers and provide training on vehicle operation and safety. Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs with the shop team. Keep accurate records of equipment and update relevant staff. Communicate regularly with managers and other teams about performance, resources, and equipment status. Collaborate with site supervisors to align logistic resources with project needs and communicate that to scheduling for ongoing deployment. Support safety meetings and ensure DOT compliance. Assist with equipment pick-up and support incident response. Perform other duties as assigned to support logistics and construction operations. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of DOT regulations. Experience training and developing drivers. Strong attention to detail and clerical skills. Familiarity with construction logistics operations. Reporting & Work Environment Reports to: Transportation Operations Manager Works with: Shop staff, project managers, site supervisors, equipment manager, scheduler, dispatch, and drivers Mainly field-based with some office tasks Fast-paced, adaptable, and requires strong problem-solving skills Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
