Job Description

We are seeking a dependable Contents Cleaning Technician primarily based in our warehouse, with the ability to assist and occasionally lead crews in the field when needed. This role focuses on detailed cleaning, handling, and documentation of household contents following fire and smoke losses. The ideal candidate works well independently, supports team operations, communicates professionally with homeowners, and can step into leadership responsibilities when required. Because restoration work is unpredictable, candidates must be flexible and able to respond when schedules change, or emergency jobs arise. Primary Responsibilities Warehouse Responsibilities (Primary Role) Detailed cleaning of electronics, textiles, rugs, furniture, and household items
  • Organizing and preparing contents for storage or return
  • Safely packing fragile items
  • Using iPad software for inventory and job documentation
  • Identifying and labeling common household items Field Responsibilities (As Needed) Assist or lead crews in customer homes after fire or smoke losses
  • Perform on-site contents cleaning and pack-out operations
  • Maintain professionalism in customer homes
  • Help keep jobs organized and moving efficiently Schedule & Flexibility Expectations Primarily warehouse-based work
  • Field assignments required as needed
  • Daily plans may change due to emergency losses
  • Occasional after-hours or extended days required
  • Ability to respond quickly when urgent jobs arise Ability to drive at night when jobs extend into evening hours Work Environment Exposure to smoke, soot, fire-related odors, pet dander, and cleaning chemicals
  • Work performed in both warehouse and residential environments
  • Standing and moving for extended periods required
  • Ability to work while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, gloves, and protective suits when needed Physical Requirements Able to stand for long periods
  • Able to lift and move household contents regularly
  • Comfortable working in warehouse and residential settings
  • Able to safely perform duties while wearing PPE equipment Communication & Customer Interaction Comfortable speaking with homeowners and clients when questions arise
  • Professional and respectful conduct in customer homes
  • Ability to explain work or direct customers to supervisors when needed Additional Skills (Helpful but Not Required)
  • Experience driving larger cube trucks or moving trucks
  • Experience Driving a fork lift. Ideal Candidate Traits Detail-oriented and careful with customer belongings
  • Works well independently and within teams
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Comfortable using iPads and job tracking software
  • Willing to take leadership responsibility when needed
  • Professional and customer-friendly
