A Distribution Project Coordinator with 5 to 10 years of experience is responsible for managing and coordinating various aspects of distribution projects within a utility company. This role involves planning, scheduling, tracking, and ensuring the successful execution of projects related to the distribution of electricity, gas, or water.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:

Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project plans, timelines, and objectives for distribution projects.

Coordination:

Serve as a central point of contact for project teams, coordinating activities and tasks, and ensuring that project milestones are met.

Resource Management:

Allocate and monitor the use of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure project requirements are fulfilled.

Scheduling:

Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and identify potential delays or issues. Make adjustments as necessary to keep projects on track.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed project documentation, including records of project activities, decisions, and changes.

Reporting:

Generate regular status reports for project stakeholders, highlighting progress, issues, and risks.

Communication:

Facilitate effective communication among project team members and between teams and stakeholders.

Procurement:

Assist in procurement processes, including sourcing materials, obtaining quotes, and managing vendor relationships.

Health and Safety:

Promote a culture of safety within the project team, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.

Change Management:

Assist in managing project scope changes and ensuring that the appropriate approvals are obtained.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field. 5 to 10 years of experience in project coordination, preferably within the utility or energy sector. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to maintain project-tracking data and analyze, summarize and extract relevant information using pivot tables or other appropriate Excel functions Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration among project team members. Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address projectrelated challenges. Familiarity with utility distribution systems and relevant industry regulations. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety. Proactive and adaptable with the ability to thrive in a dynamic project environment.
