In this role, you will coordinate all aspects of moving operations, ensuring efficient handling of inventory, proper logistics management, and safe materials handling. Your expertise in warehouse management, process improvement, and team coordination will be vital in delivering exceptional service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where precision and proactive problem-solving are key to success. Responsibilities Oversee the packing, loading, and unloading of personal belongings with care and efficiency Manage inventory control by accurately tracking items throughout the moving process using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms Coordinate logistics for timely pickup and delivery, including scheduling and route planning Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment safely to handle heavy lifting and materials handling tasks Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards during all phases of the move, including proper use of safety gear and adherence to safety protocols Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse distribution processes and implement continuous process improvements Maintain detailed records of shipments, inventory movements, and delivery confirmations for shipping & receiving documentation Assist in warehouse organization, ensuring inventory is stored correctly within warehouse management systems and physical space is utilized efficiently Support 3PL (third-party logistics) providers in coordinating large-scale or complex moves involving multiple stakeholders Conduct regular inspections to uphold warehouse safety standards and improve operational workflows Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse management or warehouse supervisor roles with a focus on inventory management and distribution Strong knowledge of logistics, materials handling, shipping & receiving procedures, and warehouse safety regulations (OSHA compliance) Hands-on experience operating forklifts and mechanical equipment required for heavy lifting tasks Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 platforms, and E-commerce logistics processes Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues quickly on-site Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple moving projects simultaneously Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and documentation practices Physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely as part of daily responsibilities Join us in delivering exceptional moving experiences by combining your logistical expertise with your passion for teamwork!
