Job Description
Overview Suitable Staffing is looking for a warehouse lead who is very knowledgeable in oversize cargo, shipping, and receiving, able to manage and guide their team to achieve project or organizational goals by setting direction, organizing work, delegating tasks, and monitoring progress. Will act as a central point of communication, solve problems, provide coaching, and foster a positive team environment to ensure success. This Team lead will also be responsible for connecting the team's work to the larger context, reporting on progress, and advocating for the team's needs. 2nd shift 3:30pm-12:15 am (Friday & Saturday off) (Sunday 8 am-4:45 pm) Pay Rate $-19-22 per hour Bilingual-Spanish/English Responsibilities Supervise and lead warehouse staff to ensure adherence to operational procedures and safety protocols. Manage inventory control processes, including receiving, storing, and shipping products accurately. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in warehouse distribution and materials handling. Operate forklifts and other equipment safely while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations. Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and managing stock movements. Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely dispatch of goods to customers. Provide training and support to team members on best practices in warehouse management and logistics. Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement within the warehouse operations. Collaborate with e-commerce teams to fulfill online orders accurately and efficiently. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse management or as a warehouse supervisor, with a strong understanding of inventory management principles. Familiarity with logistics processes and materials handling techniques, including heavy lifting requirements. Experience with 3PL operations is a plus. Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 for inventory tracking and reporting. Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate teamwork and collaboration.
