Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. The position requires receiving orders in SAP, performing daily equipment inspections, and unloading deliveries from trucks and railcars. Duties include operating the Viking to move railcars as needed, managing the Tote Recycling Program, and scheduling, preparing, and loading outbound freight shipments. The role also involves performing put-aways, staffing the warehouse counter to assist mill teammates, pulling reservations and delivering materials to administrative areas, and completing special projects assigned by the supervisor. Additional responsibilities include receiving zinc inventory, scheduling UPS shipments, and conducting regular inventory cycle counts.Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent 3 months experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environmentPreferred Qualifications:
6+ months of warehouse experience Forklift certification and experience driving large trucks and/or other material handling equipment.
