This includes coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, inspecting goods for damages or defects, accurately recording inventory levels, and ensuring that all shipping and receiving processes are conducted efficiently and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Receive incoming shipments from suppliers and vendors. Inspect deliveries for accuracy, completeness, and damages. Verify quantities and quality of received items against purchase orders. Record and report any discrepancies or damages to appropriate parties. Label, sort, and organize received materials for storage or distribution. Prepare outgoing shipments for delivery to customers or other facilities. Package items securely to prevent damage during transit. Generate shipping labels and documentation using shipping software. Coordinate with carriers and logistics companies to schedule pickups and deliveries. Ensure all shipments are accurately labeled and comply with shipping regulations.
Position Requirements:
Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations. Familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks (if applicable). The pay range for this position is $22.26 - $37.84 per hour, non-exempt. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
