This role supports the team with day-today operations of the warehouse, accountability for meeting quality benchmarks on packing, staging, labeling, and loading shipments, and oversight of warehouse operations. Duties include running our warehouse operations, providing guidance to the team and warehouse departments, providing support to ensure the team delivers, monitoring any issues and KPI's, packing client samples per SOP and ensuring quality standards are met to meet the requirements of the customer. In summary, the Team Lead is the eyes and ears for Gander Group on site in the warehouse and is the primary liason to warehouse staff. Work location is primarily on site at the AP Express facility in Irwindale. Warehouse
- Direct warehouse staff of VAS (Value Added Services) projects and timelines
- Prioritize warehouse schedules with inbounds and distribution schedules
- Track inbound and distribution schedules
- Monitor the warehouse floor
- Ensure inbound containers are off-loaded and received as scheduled
- Notify freight forwarders of empty container schedule
- Issue pick tickets, requests, and provide to warehouse team
- Prioritize pick tickets based on outbound shipment date
- Provide shipping specs for all outbound orders
- Inform Operations Team of any details pertinent to their orders or returns
- Oversee any special projects and timelines. Issue status updates daily to
- management.
- Facilitates support tickets
- Troubleshoot with order fulfillment and shipping
- Process sample request by packaging and mailing referencing Gander SOP. Inventory
- Inventory management ■ Work with Inventory Control Team (accounting) and Operations on monthly cycle counts and audits ■ Work with IC Team and Operations on annual inventory audit
- Maintain and manage available inventory reports by working with Operations & System Coordinator
- Manage sample cage count and reorder points
- Work with IC Team on upkeeping accurate inventory counts and day to day operations at the warehouse
- Ensure successful delivery of all inventory orders
- Quality control inventory sales orders Return Authorizations QC all returns coming back from customers Verify full case packs Work with warehouse staff to verify counts Assess damages on RA's Ensure RAs are received, counted, quality controlled, and processed systematically in a timely manner Report monthly returns, damages and quality control holds to Operations Coordinator Sample Room
