In this vital role, you will oversee daily distribution center activities, ensuring smooth logistics, inventory control, and team management. Your leadership will drive process improvements, optimize warehouse workflows, and uphold safety standards. Responsibilities Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment. Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, fostering a collaborative environment focused on safety and productivity. Oversee the operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners to ensure efficient movement of goods. Implement process improvements aligned with lean management principles to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce waste. Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control techniques. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols across all warehouse operations. Coordinate logistics activities with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to meet delivery deadlines. Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and perform cycle counts to prevent discrepancies. Manage shipping & receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatches and receipt of goods while adhering to quality standards. Experience Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management within a distribution center environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, logistics, and materials handling procedures. Hands-on experience operating forklifts, heavy lifting equipment, RF scanners, and other material handling tools. Familiarity with inventory management systems (such as WMS) and Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through managerial communication skills and team leadership qualities. Experience implementing process improvements using lean management techniques is highly desirable. Prior exposure to shipping & receiving operations along with warehouse safety standards (OSHA compliance).
