As an Employee Fleet & Safety Coordinator, you will collaborate with departments throughout the City to address complex safety challenges, provide technical guidance, and develop solutions that enhance employee well-being and operational effectiveness. You will play a key role in supporting fleet safety initiatives, managing compliance efforts, analyzing risk, and implementing best practices that protect employees and the public. What you typically will be responsible for: Developing, implementing, and monitoring employee safety and fleet compliance programs to support safe and efficient operations. Ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including transportation, workplace safety, and environmental requirements. Conducting audits, inspections, and reviews to identify risks, track compliance, and recommend corrective actions. Investigating vehicle incidents, workplace safety concerns, and operational issues to identify root causes and improve safety practices. Providing guidance, training, and technical support to employees and departments on fleet safety policies, procedures, and best practices. Maintaining compliance records, preparing reports, and analyzing data to recommend improvements that enhance fleet performance and reduce risk.
