Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Receiving Lead and take charge of overseeing the efficient and accurate receipt of goods within our distribution center. This vital role ensures that incoming shipments are processed smoothly, inventory is accurately managed, and warehouse operations run seamlessly. As a leader in the warehouse environment, you will motivate and guide your team to uphold safety standards, optimize processes, and maintain high levels of inventory accuracy. Your expertise in logistics, materials handling, and warehouse management systems will drive operational excellence and support our commitment to delivering exceptional service. Duties Supervise daily receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of inbound shipments using RF scanners and warehouse management systems Lead a team of warehouse associates, providing clear instructions, training, and support to promote productivity and safety Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to verify shipment details and resolve discrepancies promptly Oversee inventory control procedures, including stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation to maintain optimal inventory accuracy Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely for loading, unloading, and moving materials within the warehouse Implement process improvements utilizing lean management principles to enhance efficiency in shipping & receiving operations Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols during all warehouse activities Skills Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, logistics, and warehouse operations management Proficiency with inventory management systems and warehouse management software Skilled in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently Strong leadership abilities with team management experience in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills for managerial interactions and team coordination Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy lifting, materials handling, and warehouse safety practices Ability to implement process improvements that streamline distribution center operations Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, inventory control techniques, and lean management strategies Embark on a rewarding career where your leadership fuels operational success!
