Warehouse Lead Acme Cone | Anaheim, California Full-Time | On-Site About Acme Cone Acme Cone is a growing manufacturer and distributor of roofing products serving customers throughout Southern California. We are looking for a hands-on Warehouse Lead to take ownership of our Anaheim warehouse and help build a safe, organized, and efficient operation as the business grows. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day operation, solving problems, working with customers and drivers, and improving how a warehouse operates. Position Summary The Warehouse Lead will oversee the daily operation of our warehouse, including receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, shipping, freight coordination, and material handling. The successful candidate will be highly dependable, organized, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently. This person will play an important role in establishing efficient warehouse processes and maintaining a high level of customer service. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management. Coordinate LTL, FTL, and common-carrier shipments. Schedule freight and work to secure competitive transportation rates. Prepare Bills of Lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and other shipping documentation. Safely operate forklifts and load/unload trucks, including handling long roofing products with forklift extensions. Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP and warehouse systems. Perform cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies. Ensure customer orders are picked, prepared, and shipped accurately and on time. Communicate with customers, drivers, vendors, sales, and company leadership. Help establish and continuously improve warehouse processes, layout, organization, and material flow. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse. Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company and OSHA safety requirements. Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, and improve freight and warehouse efficiency. Take ownership of warehouse performance and help support the company's continued growth.
What We're Looking For Required:
3+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, shipping, distribution, or a related field. Strong understanding of freight management and shipping documentation. Experience coordinating LTL, FTL, or common-carrier shipments. Proven forklift experience and ability to safely handle large skids and long products. Experience using ERP systems, Microsoft Windows, and standard business software. Strong organizational and planning skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision. Strong commitment to safety and quality.
Preferred:
Experience in roofing, metals, building materials, construction products, or industrial distribution. Experience working in a startup, new, or rapidly growing warehouse. Previous leadership or supervisory experience. Familiarity with Southern California transportation networks and logistics.
