Construction Yard Lead/Coordinator AEC Moreno Corporation San Bernardino, CA Job Details Full-time $21 - $28 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Spanish Teamwork Outdoor work English Forklift Full Job Description Position Summary The Construction Yard Lead/Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the construction yard, including organizing materials, maintaining tools and equipment, coordinating local deliveries, and supporting field operations. This is a hands-on role focused on keeping the yard clean, organized, and running efficiently to support active job site. The ideal candidate has construction yard or field experience, is dependable, organized, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working outdoors around equipment and materials. Management will oversee inventory control, purchasing, and operational planning, while the Construction Yard Lead/Coordinator will execute daily yard activities and communicate operational needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Yard Operations and Organization Maintain a clean, safe, and organized construction yard. Organize and stage tools, materials, and equipment for field crews. Load and unload construction materials, tools, and supplies. Assist with maintaining accurate inventory counts and notify management of shortages or needed supplies Ensure tools and materials are properly stored and secured. Equipment and Vehicle maintenance Perform basic maintenance and upkeep on company trucks and yard equipment. Identify mechanical issues and communicate repair or parts needs to management. Assist with fueling, cleaning, and preparing equipment for daily field use. Coordinate repairs and maintenance through management approval. Deliveries and Field Support Perform local deliveries and pickups for job sites as needed. Ensure materials and equipment are delivered accurately and on schedule. Assist with jobsite mobilization and demobilization activities. Support field crews with materials and equipment requests. Safety and Compliance Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times. Maintain safe equipment operation and yard practices. Use required PPE and maintain a safe working environment. Comply with DOT requirements when operating company vehicles. Teamwork and Communication Communicate daily yard and equipment needs with management. Coordinate with supervisors and field personnel regarding materials and deliveries. Report operational issues, shortages, or equipment concerns promptly. Qualifications 2+ years of construction yard, field operations, or equipment experience preferred. Basic mechanic skills and ability to perform minor equipment/truck maintenance preferred. Familiarity with construction tools, materials, and equipment. Ability to operate forklifts, loaders, trailers, and light-duty trucks. CDL is a plus but not required. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
