Full Time Summary The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading the warehouse department in all operational disciplines and ensure operational excellence, high productivity, and customer satisfaction. The Warehouse Gateway Supervisor coordinates warehouse activities and facility maintenance under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and Branch and Regional Management. This position is responsible to train warehouse personnel to ensure a well-coordinated shipping and receiving plan. Duties and Responsibilities- Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to select and receive products at the facility in a productive and cost-efficient manner.
- Directs the day-to-day activities of the warehouse.
- Such activities include shipping, receiving, sanitation, maintenance, inventory control, etc.
- Adheres to budget requirements and works toward obtaining objectives and branch goals.
- Responsible for maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing both preventive maintenance programs and all necessary repairs.
- Ensures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform the distribution functions.
- Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations.
- Recommends equipment requirements and replacements in order to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency.
- Responsible for recruitment, hiring, training, performance management, and discipline of direct reports.
- Timely reporting and compliance with deadlines
- Researches, identifies, and presents new ideas to improve warehouse operations.
- Attends and participates in regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings.
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
- Performs other duties as needed/assigned Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manage and lead warehouse personnel, including recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning.
- Provide coaching and support to ensure employees are motivated and productive.
- Train new employees on warehouse systems and procedures. Educational background / Work experience
- 2-3 years of experience in transportation and logistics management, with supervisory or managerial responsibilities is preferred.
- High School Diploma required
- Must have forklift experience Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of warehouse environment
- Advanced competency in all aspects of business administration
- People management and leadership experience (Recruitment, Selection, Training & Development, Coaching, and Performance Management

- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in customer service and logistics (will consider an equivalent combination of education and/or experience).

- Dangerous Goods Qualification
- Forklift Operation and Certification
- Some experience with Warehouse Management Systems Language skills
- English preferred (reading, writing and verbal) Computer Literacy
- Proficiency in basic MS Office applications.
