Our company offers warehouse and logistics services for companies who depend on service excellence and require a personalized, rather than one-size-fits-all, approach to their materials management requirements. We are looking for a Lead Warehouse Associate with forklift experience and attention to detail to oversee daily warehouse operations. As a warehouse Lead, you will operate a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in inventory management, and the ability to ensure the efficient and safe handling of materials in the warehouse. You must be a responsible individual with extensive experience driving industrial vehicles. Essential Functions The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is NOT an exhaustive list of all expectations. Receiving, picking, staging, shipping, and return processing as applicable to the assigned position. Supervise and direct warehouse floor personnel under the guidance of the Unit Manager Forklift maintenance and operation. Filing, posting, and preparation of documents and forms. Data entry into material/inventory management system. Other clerical duties as required. Maintaining a safe work environment. Responsible for the proper filing of all material-related documents within the MSL filing system. Job Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent Prefer 2-4 years of experience Must be able to read, decode, and decipher freight coding Consistently lift, standing, bending, and rotating motions Must be able to read and write English Basic Mathematics Skills Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government and company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests. Must be able to move about the warehouse to access products, and machinery and assist others Must be able to move and place cartons on pallets weighing up to 60 pounds Must be able to bend downward using legs at the knee Must be able to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess product Must be able to communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, and exchange accurate information Skills Basic mathematics skills (add, divide, multiply and subtract) Ability to interpret instruction Basic computer skills Prefer forklift skills Non-Physical Demands Must be reliable and dedicated to good attendance Must be adaptable to changing work tasks and workload Must be dedicated to working safely Must be dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service
