Dockmaster Bradford Marine - 4.1 Fort Lauderdale, FL Job Details $90,000 - $100,000 a year 17 hours ago Full Job Description Position Summary The Dockmaster is responsible for overseeing daily marina operations, ensuring the safe, efficient movement and docking of vessels while delivering a high level of customer service. This role coordinates vessel movements, slip assignments, and towing operations, while maintaining the security, cleanliness, and overall condition of the facility. The Dockmaster also ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, and works closely with internal teams and external partners to support operational efficiency and maximize marina utilization. Key Responsibilities Run daily marina operations, ensuring vessels entering and exiting the facility receive a high level of customer service while maximizing dock utilization and supporting safe mooring of transient vessels Collaborate with Account Management and Operations teams to coordinate vessel movements, slip assignments, and overall yard flow Coordinate and oversee all vessel movements within the facility to ensure safe and efficient operations Assist in maintaining the security, cleanliness, and overall condition of the marina, including docks and equipment Perform minor repairs to docks and equipment and coordinate with vendors for larger maintenance needs Operate and tow vessels and barges within the facility and along the New River as required Coordinate scheduling and billing for third-party towing services, including vessels and operators Oversee preventative maintenance for company-owned vessels and maintain required logs and documentation Ensure compliance and safety of company-owned vessels, including equipment, inspections, and required certifications Monitor onboard supply usage to ensure efficiency and cost control Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to navigation, vessel operations, and environmental standards Serve as a point of contact for customers and the public, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner Partner with HSE and Project Management to ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards for employees, vendors, and customers Collaborate with the Facility Manager to prioritize and complete internal projects, including coordinating labor support from the Dockmaster team Enforce standard operating procedures, marina rules, and regulations for employees, vendors, and customers Follow company, industry, and best practices related to safety, including proper equipment use, PPE, and incident reporting Note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
