Job Description
Operations & Warehouse Coordinator The Lighting Company | Niceville, Florida Up to $25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications | 25-35 Hours Per Week | Performance Bonuses | Advancement Opportunities Since 2003, The Lighting Company has designed, installed, and maintained award-winning outdoor lighting and holiday décor throughout the Gulf Coast and Southeast. We proudly serve municipalities, commercial properties, resorts, and luxury residences that expect exceptional quality—and we hold ourselves to that same standard. We're seeking an Operations & Warehouse Coordinator who is dependable, organized, mechanically inclined, and committed to doing things the right way. This is a hands-on role responsible for warehouse operations, inventory management, equipment readiness, job staging, and supporting our installation teams. This position exists to ensure our field teams have the equipment, tools, materials, and operational support they need to perform at a high level every day. Working closely with company leadership, you'll play a key role in keeping our operations organized, efficient, and prepared for success. Primary Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient warehouse Ensure tools, equipment, and inventory are properly organized and stored Continuously improve warehouse organization and operational efficiency Maintain a professional, organized work environment Inventory & Job Preparation Receive, inspect, label, and organize incoming inventory Maintain accurate inventory records Stage materials and equipment for upcoming installations Prepare trucks, trailers, and equipment for daily operations Test lighting products, timers, controllers, and electrical components before installation Equipment & Facility Support Maintain tools, ladders, trailers, lifts, and warehouse equipment Perform basic maintenance and repairs on lighting products and equipment Report major repair needs to leadership Help ensure all equipment is clean, organized, and ready for use Field Support Assist installation crews as needed Load and unload equipment and materials Support holiday lighting and landscape lighting installations Safely operate—or become certified to operate—aerial lifts and forklifts End-of-Day Operations A critical responsibility of this position is ensuring our crews finish each day prepared for the next. You'll receive returning installation crews, oversee the unloading of trucks, ensure equipment is returned to its proper location, restock inventory, charge batteries, prepare materials for upcoming jobs, and leave the warehouse organized and ready for the following morning. A well-run warehouse directly impacts the productivity, efficiency, and success of every field crew.
