JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise, lead, and mentor hourly shipping team members. Support the Shipping Manager in training, process improvement, and operational efficiency. Prioritize workloads and assist in scheduling and performance assessments of hourly staff. Identify and implement process improvements using a continuous improvement mindset. Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with OSHA regulations. Foster a positive and productive working relationship with the supply chain leadership team. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to meet safety, service, cost, and personnel goals. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in a related field highly preferred. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach. Ability to interpret and explain complex data sets. Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and develop team members. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, reaching, climbing, pulling, and bending. Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift/move over 100 lbs. Must be able to work in a wet, cold environment. Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and caustic chemicals. Exposure to nut allergens may occur.
