About Kauai Fresh Fish Kauai Fresh Fish is dedicated to strengthening Hawaii's food security by providing 100% Hawaii-caught seafood. We work directly with local fishermen, support sustainable fishing practices, and are committed to keeping more food dollars in our local economy. As one of the only true fish markets on Kauai, we're growing quickly and looking for an Operations Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a meaningful impact. Position Overview The Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in the daily success of Kauai Fresh Fish. This position supports order fulfillment, customer communication, inventory management, invoicing, and warehouse operations while helping ensure exceptional service for our chef, wholesale, and retail customers. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, physically capable, and willing to jump in wherever needed. They are a natural problem solver who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in getting the job done right. Key ResponsibilitiesOrder Fulfillment & Customer Support Pick, pack, and prepare seafood orders accurately and efficiently. Coordinate and communicate with chefs and wholesale customers regarding orders, product availability, and deliveries. Ensure orders are fulfilled according to customer specifications and quality standards. Assist with receiving and processing incoming seafood deliveries. Inventory & Operations Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory counts. Track product movement and maintain accurate inventory records. Help organize and maintain warehouse, freezer, and processing areas. Support quality control and food safety procedures. Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting products safely. Administrative Support Create and send customer invoices. Enter and maintain accurate records in company systems. Assist with scheduling deliveries and coordinating logistics. Support operational reporting and documentation. Leadership & Team Support Help coordinate daily workflow and support team productivity. Lead by example through a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Assist with training and supporting team members. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. QualificationsRequired Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day. Ability to work in refrigerated environments and stand for extended periods. Comfortable using computers, email, and basic business software. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Forklift certification or experience operating a forklift. Experience in food distribution, seafood, warehouse, logistics, or inventory management. Experience creating invoices and managing inventory systems. Team leadership or supervisory experience.
