Warehouse Lead

Warehouse Technician - Job Description Position Summary The Warehouse Technician supports daily warehouse operations by ensuring materials, equipment, and inventory are accurately received, stored, staged, and maintained. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to keep operations running efficiently, safely, and professionally.

Pay:

$22-$26/hour (based on experience)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM Core Responsibilities Receive, inspect, label, and put away incoming materials, equipment, and products with accuracy and urgency Maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse environment, including aisles, storage locations, staging areas, and workstations Prep, kit, and stage materials for production, installation, or shipment according to schedules and work orders Perform regular inventory checks, restocking, and cycle counts to ensure material accuracy and availability Identify discrepancies, damaged materials, or process issues and take ownership to correct or escalate them promptly Proactively monitor inventory levels and replenish materials before shortages impact operations Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and forklifts (if certified) Use warehouse systems and software to accurately track inventory movements, shipments, and documentation Coordinate and communicate clearly with warehouse staff, field teams, supervisors, and occasionally clients Assist teammates as needed to meet daily workload demands and deadlines Consistently follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work environment Key Performance Expectations Works independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a strong sense of urgency Demonstrates high attention to detail and completes tasks correctly the first time Anticipates operational needs rather than waiting for direction Takes pride in the warehouse's organization, cleanliness, and overall appearance Maintains a positive, team‑first attitude and is willing to support where needed Communicates issues, improvement opportunities, and safety concerns clearly and promptly Required Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory‑based environment preferred Comfortable using basic technology and warehouse systems (inventory software, shipping/receiving tools, email, mobile devices) Strong organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills Ability to lift, move, and handle materials in a fast‑paced environment Strong commitment to safety and following established procedures at all times Apply Directly Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
