Job Description
Express Employment West Des Moines has partnered with a local company to search for a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join their team. Duties Receive raw material and enter them into our computer system, and then put them in the proper location. Package and prepare daily shipments in accordance with customer requirements. Maintain 100% inventory accuracy for all inventory in the operating system. Create and maintain efficient organization of all materials. Ensure material flow is consistent with FIFO guidelines. Identify, justify, and reconcile inventory discrepancies. Work within the operating system to create customer packing slips. Prepare bills of lading and schedule freight pick up as needed. Must be able to lift up-to 40lbs and up to 70lbs with assistance. Driving a delivery truck to move material to customers Qualifications Occasional lifting of 20-40lbs. Standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time. Ability to read measurements on yard sticks, meter sticks or tape measures. Ability to understand written and verbal instructions. Must be able to work alongside others as well as independently. Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role is required Are you interested in this position?
