Job Description

Job Summary This position will be responsible for the completeness and accuracy of all shipping documents. Ensure that products that are ready for shipment are shipped immediately to assure a maximum OTIF. Job Description Assembles stock shipping packets, including printing shipping labels, manufacturing labels, address labels, special customer labels, bill of ladings, safety data sheets and technical data sheets. Matches certificate of analysis with correct orders. Communicate to shipping manager any issues that would prevent an order from shipping as scheduled. Assembles shipping packets for bins and drums, including printing shipping labels, manufacturing labels, address labels, special customer labels, bill of ladings, matches certificate of analysis with correct orders. Arranges carrier pick-ups and/or notifies customer or customer service for customer pick-ups. Maintains log of carriers called for communication and historical purposes. Ship products early if possible based on Customer requested date . Monitor all export orders to insure that container has been ordered, all shipping documentation has been completed, pictures of freight and container have been taken, seal number assigned to each load, freight company has been called when container is completed and has set up a time to pick up loaded container. Follow up daily on any loaded containers not picked up as scheduled. A call must be made to the freight company and the customer service representative must be notified along with supervisor that the load has been delayed. Call carriers for all orders that are marked as customer pick ups to insure timely pick up of product. Monitor total orders that are shipped to assigned region and verify with current freight company the number of trucks that are needed. Monitor daily shipments to insure that Quaker Houghton is achieving OTIF goals.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / EHS RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties of this job are normally performed in an office environment; occasionally required to walk through and perform tasks in a plant production and shipping environment. May also be required to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to wear required
PPE. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Key Education or Certification Required High School/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Minimum Number of Years of Relevant Experience Entry level 0-2 years Required Skills and Competencies Excellent organization skills Knowledge of manufacturing process particularly in chemical manufacturing Knowledge of JDE a plus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
