Hourly, Non-Exempt FLSA The Shop Foreman / Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily shop and warehouse operations while actively participating in order fulfillment, inventory management, material handling, fabrication activities, and customer deliveries. This position provides hands-on leadership to ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and accurately.
Overview:
The Shop Laborer supports daily shop operations by assisting with facility upkeep, order fulfillment, equipment handling, and general shop activities. This role is essential to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe shop environment. The Shop Laborer may also assist with field service support and deliveries as business needs require. Key Responsibilities Complete daily shop operations and assigned tasks. Perform shop maintenance duties, including vehicle cleaning, trash removal, and general housekeeping. Fill and prepare product orders accurately and efficiently. Operate forklifts and other shop equipment in a safe and responsible manner, efficiently. Complete deliveries and periodic field service support as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards. Process pick tickets provided by the Warehouse Manager and Inside Sales team, ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment. Use hand tools and shop machinery to cut conveyor belting to customer-specified lengths. Assemble pulley assemblies and related components in the shop according to specifications. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and warehouse environment. Make deliveries to customer sites as required, representing company professionally. Maintain inventory bins, ensuring accurate counts, proper labeling, and correct location of all stock items. Willingness to assist belt crews and specialty service crews in the field as needed. Qualifications Ability to perform physical labor in a shop and warehouse environment. Forklift experience or willingness to obtain forklift certification. Strong attention to safety, organization, and detail. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to follow instructions. Prior shop, warehouse, or industrial experience preferred but not required.
Remote / Hybrid
Work This position is not eligible for remote or hybrid work. All duties are performed on-site at company facilities or customer locations. Travel Requirements Limited travel may be required for deliveries or field service support. Travel is typically local and scheduled as needed based on operational demands. A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record are required. Schedule & Compensation Full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Compensation is hourly.
