Key Duties and Responsibilities 1. Provide and maintain a safe working environment for all employees, including auditing, addressing unsafe behaviors and conditions, timely reporting safety incidents, enforcing safety-related policies and procedures, and conducting any needed training. 2. Help coordinate outbound shipments. 3. Ensure deliveries are scheduled and completed based on available and anticipated inventory and order promise dates. 4. Address and communicate quality issues to internal team and external customers. 5. Ensure raw materials are received and accurately placed into inventory. 6. Ensure warehouse and materials are well-organized. 7. Confer with plant personnel and other departments to review activities and operating reports to determine changes in schedules. 8. Maintain a high degree of plant floor visibility throughout the shift. 9. Facilitate and execute continuous improvement activities. 10. Conduct annual performance reviews. 11. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles 7. Ability to use and influence organizational policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing practices 8. Knowledge of the processes, tools, and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle 9.Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods 10. Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of the employees, environment and siteEducation/Certification:
Level required: High school diploma or equivalent Level desired: Associate's degreeWork Experience Required:
3-5 years of relevant work experience 2 years of experience formal leadership positionDesired:
2 years of experience in plastics or fabrication environment Travel Requirements 5% - 10% travel This role may require regular travel between two company locations situated approximately 10 miles from each other.
