Job Description

Under the direction of the department Supervisor, the Inventory Lead coordinates activities and assigns specific tasks to a group of associates in a designated area in order to achieve production goals and maximize productivity.
Essential Job Functions:
Oversee the effective and efficient completion of shift duties in all areas assigned by the Supervisor. Partners with other departments to ensure efficient flow of material. Provides verbal coaching to associates to address operational performance issues. Reports all operational and behavioral challenges to Supervisor in a timely manner. Able to access, interpret and accurately apply all systems reporting information related to the work area. Provide training to Inventory associates in areas such as SOP's, job specific procedures, and filling out required documentation correctly. Ensure compliance to SOP's, Housekeeping, and all other FE policies. Maintain a safe work environment by training personnel on safety issues, conducting safety huddles, completing safety accident and/or incident reports, and recognizing and correcting unsafe conditions or acts. Continuously maintain a clean work environment. Ensure employees are taking their scheduled breaks/lunches and finishing their shift on time. Ensure accurate and timely posting and counts of all warehouses on a daily basis. Coordinate essential warehouse duties such as accurate cycle counting, ensuring all voice shorts are cleared and acknowledged, and high value items are verified each day. Ability to coach, train, and lead work teams to achieve performance as it relates to specialization to Inventory practices, warehouse posting, and detailed research on high variances. Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and practices. Responsible for inventory accuracy; report inventory levels to prevent shortages and excessive surplus. Cultivate a positive and innovative work environment. Strive for fast continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in a fast paced environment. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Capable of working in a cold (34 degrees F) and wet environment and be willing to work weekends.

AS 400/ PRMS

Bilingual English/Spanish/Vietnamese Experience:
2+ years of related experience
Education/Training:
High School diploma or equivalent
