Step into our new, 400,000 sq. ft. distribution facility in Crown Point, IN, equipped with state-of-the-art technology designed to optimize efficiency and reduce environmental impact. As one of our global shipping hubs, this location plays a critical role in serving customers around the world. Join us as a Warehouse Tech Lead (Inventory) and help drive inventory accuracy, operational excellence, and continuous improvement! As a Warehouse Tech Lead (Inventory), you'll oversee daily inventory operations while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of warehouse inventory. You'll lead team activities, coordinate workload priorities, investigate inventory discrepancies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance inventory performance and operational KPIs. You'll leverage Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Oracle Fusion tools to troubleshoot issues, support inventory processes, and serve as a backup to the Warehouse Supervisor when needed. What You Will Do Lead daily inventory operations, prioritizing team workload while driving safety, productivity, and inventory accuracy KPIs. Manage inventory activities including receiving, restocks, put-aways, cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and troubleshooting work orders within the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Conduct cycle counts and root cause analysis to identify inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions that improve inventory accuracy. Investigate vagrant inventory (items without assigned storage locations) and resolve inventory exceptions to maintain system integrity. Support inventory-related projects and customer complaint investigations, ensuring timely resolution and accurate inventory records. Utilize RF scanners, WMS, Oracle Fusion, and data lookup tools to research, troubleshoot, and resolve inventory issues. Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) including order pickers, sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and reach trucks to support inventory movement and replenishment. Train and develop employees on inventory processes, systems, and best practices. Analyze inventory and warehouse processes to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions. Propose and actively contribute to continuous improvement and waste elimination initiatives. Act as backup to the Warehouse Supervisor, coordinating daily operations and directing team activities as needed. What You Will Bring High school diploma or GED. 3+ years of warehouse experience, including inventory control, cycle counting, or warehouse operations. Experience performing cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, root cause analysis, and inventory investigations. Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Oracle Fusion (or similar ERP systems), RF scanners, and inventory lookup tools. Experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT), including order pickers, sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and reach trucks. Proven ability to lead daily team activities, prioritize workload, and improve operational KPIs.
Physical fitness:
Lift up to 50 lbs., stand, handle, and reach at torso level for a majority of the day. Comfortable with heights. Comfortable with basic computer and keyboard functions. Reliable transportation and excellent punctuality.
