GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Inbound Lead is responsible for overseeing the accurate receipt, inspection, sorting, and organization of incoming materials. This position ensures materials and packing lists are accurate and works closely with the warehouse team to identify discrepancies, locate materials, and keep inbound operations organized and efficient. The Inbound Lead also provides day-to-day direction and support to warehouse employees involved in receiving and putting away materials.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect incoming materials from manufacturers to verify quantities, items, and overall accuracy. Review manufacturer packing lists and compare them against materials received. Review packing lists from the Design team to ensure materials received match the expected order. Identify discrepancies, shortages, damaged materials, or incorrect items and promptly notify the Warehouse Manager. Lead and provide direction to warehouse employees while sorting, organizing, and putting away incoming materials. Ensure materials are stored in the appropriate locations and that the inbound area remains organized and efficient. Assist with resolving receiving discrepancies and communicating issues to the appropriate department.
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Rearrange and reorganize materials as needed to maximize space and improve warehouse efficiency. Assist in locating missing or misplaced materials. Support general warehouse operations as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by management
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The tasks and responsibilities outlined in this job description are subject to change as business needs evolve. This is an on-site position requiring the individual to work at the company's warehouse location. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Previous warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience preferred. Previous leadership or lead experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to read and interpret packing lists and order information. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with warehouse employees and management. Ability to work independently while providing direction to others. Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
