Find a way to solve the customer's problem Protect Our Culture (POC): We hold people, culture, values as sacred Position Overview The Terminal Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all terminal equipment in connection with receiving, storing, transferring, and loading of propane and natural gas liquids at our Lecompton, KS terminal facility. This role requires a safety-minded individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.Key Duties and Responsibilities Daily Operations:
Take daily temperature, pressure, and liquid level readings of propane storage tanks and record accurately Check storage tank levels and record daily meter readings for all products. Calculate and input all product inventories and meter readings into appropriate systems Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of product inventories and throughputs Complete daily and month-end inventory reports usingMicrosoft Excel Loading and Unloading Operations:
Safely load propane onto trucks and oversee all loading operations Oversee pipeline receipts ensuring that the terminal has sufficient inventory to load trucks and prevent overfilling storage tanks Monitor all loading/unloading activities to ensure compliance with safety standardsQuality Control and Safety:
Take product samples as required and perform/log required quality control tests Perform daily walk-around inspections to identify potential risks and ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained Correct or stop all unsafe acts or conditions not in accordance with Company policiesand procedures Ensure all terminal equipment is functioning properly and report failures to supervisorimmediatelyCustomer Service:
Provide top-tier customer service to commercial customers and operations representatives Communicate product outages and equipment downtime to supervisor, customers, and other impacted parties promptly Address customer inquiries regarding delivery schedules and terminal operationsMaintenance and Emergency Response:
Perform facility maintenance on office building, assets, and vegetation as needed Perform and log all scheduled maintenance and compliance inspections Remain knowledgeable of and prepared to enact and coordinate emergency response activities until relieved by supervisor or management personnel Perform light maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilityKnowledge, Skills and Experience Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent 3+ years of relevant midstream or propane terminal experience Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial job experience preferredRequired Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management at various levels Self-starter able to work with little or no supervision Able to use basic hand tools and operate basic product testing equipment Proficient in mathematics and able to perform all required calculations Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing Must have and maintain a valid driver's license Must be willing and able to work as part of a team, take direction from supervisor(s), prioritize work schedules, focus attention to details, and follow work rules Strong organizational and time management skills Proven problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressurePhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally Ability to move objects weighing 10-20 lbs. regularly Driving, walking, and standing frequently Exposure to adverse weather conditions and outdoor work environment Ability to climb heights in excess of 20 feet Daily wearing of required appropriate personal protective equipment Exposure to cramped conditions and some heavy lifting Ability to work in a terminal environment with propane and other natural gas liquidsPay:

Have you performed daily monitoring and recorded temperature, pressure, or liquid level readings at a propane, NGL, or similar terminal facility? Do you have experience safely loading and unloading propane or other hazardous liquids at an industrial terminal? Are you familiar with safety protocols and inspections related to terminal operations, including identifying hazards and responding to unsafe conditions?
