- Exemplifies the Amcor Behaviors and Values at all times. Leads by example and exhibits professionalism in all areas when representing Amcor inside and outside of the plant.
- Work in a professional manner with other associates.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
- Coordinate and give breaks to warehouse associates.
- Notify the Warehouse Manager/Group Lead of any safety, machinery, raw material, quality, preventive maintenance, emergency maintenance, packaging or documentation concerns.
- Document information correctly on the FLL Checklist and any downtime.
- Knowledgeable in operating stretch wrap/shrink wrap machine.
- Work effectively as a team member, and communicate any immediate concerns to the Warehouse Manager/Group Lead.
- Must be safety minded; satisfactory knowledge of forklift and safe driving practices.
- Responsible for overseeing daily general maintenance on forklifts, such as checking oil levels, back-up beeper, tires. Ensure proper safety measures are followed while working on / around forklifts, and will follow safety procedures pertaining to the use of battery chargers, chocking wheels, etc. Report any forklift maintenance needs to Manager/Group Lead.
- Must have good knowledge of both finished products and raw materials, and will be able to read and understand incoming and outgoing orders. Must understand labeling and packaging processes.
- Ensure all reports or documentation is completed timely and properly (
EX:
Shipping BOL, Recalls, FLL Check List, Forklift Inspection Sheets etc.)- Exhibit leadership and management skills.
- Assist in training of associates.
- Follow proper packaging procedures for product to ensure damage does not occur through shipping.
- Informed as to what is expected to ensure production goals are met.
- Provide feedback to department associates concerning their responsibilities to safety and quality.
- Various other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL, SKILL, & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, shipping/warehouse environment.
- Trained and certified fork lift operator.
- Regularly required to stand, sit, or walk for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Frequent exposure to production floor; required use of PPE including but not limited to: Bump Cap, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hi-Viz Vest, Hearing Protection and Disposable Mask.
- Good hand-eye coordination is required.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to frequently lift, bend, and reach to perform necessary job functions.
- Must be able to keep-up with the fast-paced production cycles.
- Position requires agility and consistent attention to detail.
- Must be able to identify alpha / numeric product codes.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holiday and over-time.
- Frequently works near moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
- Good communication skills--verbal and written; ability to effectively communicate.
- Ability to work well independently or in a team environment; displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast-paced, performance driven environment.
