Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Team Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations, support team performance, and ensure safe and efficient material handling processes. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, warehouse experience, and a hands-on approach to operations. The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, inventory control, employee training, safety compliance, and workflow organization to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control Coordinate loading and unloading of inbound and outbound shipments Ensure proper staging and storage of products according to procedures Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits Address product damage, quality concerns, and inventory discrepancies Support shipping and receiving operations as needed Team Leadership & Scheduling Assign daily tasks and organize workflows for warehouse personnel Provide hands-on training and coaching to team members Monitor employee performance and communicate issues or successes to management Assist with scheduling and shift coordination Serve as acting shift lead in the supervisor's absence Safety & Compliance Promote and enforce workplace safety standards and procedures Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and sanitation programs Identify and report unsafe conditions or defective equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment using 5S and lean practices Reporting & Documentation Complete operational and activity reports accurately and on time Assist with inventory reporting and facility security procedures Maintain accurate records related to warehouse operations and productivity Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED 1-2 years of warehouse experience 1-2 years of leadership or team lead experience preferred Minimum 2 years of forklift/tow motor operating experience Equipment certification required Basic computer and data entry skills Ability to read and interpret safety procedures and operational documents Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to lead and motivate team members IND2
