Full Job Description Overview:
The Supervisor II will be responsible for maintaining protocols in line with day to day warehouse operations and state health and safety regulations. Supervises employees to include, but not limited to training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
Responsibilities:
Coordinating and monitoring employee work schedules and daily assignments. Performing daily inspections of the manufacturing facility and reporting any irregularities. Implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities. Handling discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy Conducting daily employee huddles and communicating organizational needs to employees Resolve conflicts and address employee concerns or grievances in a timely and professional manner. Participate in the interviewing and selection process for candidates Reviewing and verifying employee timesheets and approving overtime when necessary. Providing feedback to company managers and advising on changes to improve the operation Monitoring the use of machine and electronic equipment, including but not limited to power industrial equipment and Hilo machines Training new employees and organizing refresher workshops for existing staff. Coordinating the services of contractors and external cleaning crews. Oversees Team Lead activities Monitors performance of the assigned team and follows disciplinary process if necessary. Lead daily team meetings by communicating organizational needs to employees
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience Previous experience in a Supervisory role. Knowledge of the manufacturing industry. Strong attention to detail. Advanced managerial skills. Detailed knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to design and implement training programs. Great attention to detail. Diligent and punctual. Proficient in MS Office. General Computer skills. Food safety and safety awareness, and strong work ethic. Ability to physically lift, push pull and stand for long periods of time without reasonable accommodations. Knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices.
Education and Experience:
2+ years of experience in a Warehouse Environment Previous supervisory preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to multi-task and work independently as well as contribute to the overall success of the team. English and Spanish proficiency preferred
Work Environment:
Ability to lift over 50lbs and stand and maintain active for long periods of time without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work extended hours as needed. Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
