Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated lead to assist in overseeing daily warehouse operations and supporting the Working Supervisor. This role is essential in coordinating the efforts of the onsite team, maintaining safety and quality standards, and helping to meet customer and company expectations. The ideal candidate will lead by example and provide hands-on support in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Team Support & Coordination Assist the Supervisor in guiding a team of warehouse staff, helping ensure daily tasks are completed accurately and on time. Provide on-the-floor training and mentorship to new and existing employees. Act as a point of contact for staff questions and concerns during shifts. Help maintain team morale, productivity, and compliance with safety standards. Scheduling & Timekeeping Support Assist with tracking employee attendance and reporting time discrepancies to the Supervisor. Support the Supervisor in adjusting shift coverage based on staffing needs. Customer Order Support Ensure customer orders are picked, packed, and processed accurately and efficiently. Address minor customer-related issues or escalate concerns to the Supervisor as needed. Support high standards of accuracy and timeliness in order fulfillment. Sanitation & Compliance Perform regular walk-throughs to ensure compliance with cleanliness and storage protocols. Assist in maintaining documentation required for audits and inspections. Report any issues with equipment, safety, or cleanliness promptly to the Supervisor. Operational Execution & Problem Solving Monitor workflow on the floor, helping identify and resolve minor bottlenecks or inefficiencies. Communicate any major issues to the Supervisor for resolution. Record-Keeping Help maintain accurate documentation for inventory movements, employee task completion, and quality checks. Continuous Improvement Suggest process improvements to the Supervisor based on daily observations. Participate in training sessions or team meetings to improve operational knowledge and efficiency. Qualifications Experience in a warehouse or similar operational environment. Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to support a team in a hands-on role. Familiarity with safety, sanitation, and inventory control procedures. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, standing, etc.).
