Serene Events is a luxury wedding and event décor company serving the DMV area. We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator to oversee the organization, maintenance, and tracking of our décor inventory. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating organized systems, takes pride in maintaining order, and understands that every detail matters. The Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring our event team has the right inventory, in excellent condition, and ready for every event. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory records for all décor items. Track inventory check-in and check-out for each event. Perform monthly inventory audits and report discrepancies. Notify management when inventory is damaged, missing, or needs replacement. Assist with inventory purchasing recommendations. Warehouse Organization Organize and maintain a clean, efficient warehouse and storage system. Label shelves, bins, and storage areas for easy identification. Ensure décor is stored safely to prevent damage. Continuously improve warehouse layout and organization. Event Preparation Pull décor based on event packing lists. Stage inventory for upcoming weddings and events. Verify that all items are complete and event-ready before loading. Repack and return inventory after each event. Quality Control Inspect décor for damage, stains, missing pieces, or wear. Clean and maintain inventory as needed. Separate repair or replacement items and report them promptly. Loading & Unloading Assist with loading trucks for events. Unload returned inventory after events. Ensure items are returned to their designated locations. Documentation Update inventory software or spreadsheets daily. Maintain accurate records of inventory movement. Photograph damaged items for documentation when necessary. General Warehouse Support Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized. Follow company procedures for inventory handling. Assist with warehouse projects and process improvements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous warehouse, inventory, logistics, retail inventory, or event industry experience preferred. Experience with inventory tracking or warehouse management is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Reliable transportation. Availability to work weekdays and occasional evenings or weekends during wedding season. Skills & Competencies The ideal candidate will have: Exceptional organizational skills Strong attention to detail High level of integrity and accountability Excellent time management Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving skills Basic computer proficiency (Google Workspace or Microsoft Office) Experience using spreadsheets or inventory software Ability to prioritize multiple tasks Positive attitude and willingness to learn Excellent communication skills Team-oriented mindset Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following industries is highly desirable: Wedding or event décor Party rental companies Event production Warehouse operations Inventory control Logistics and fulfillment Retail inventory management Physical Requirements Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods. Load and unload event inventory. Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
