Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM Temp-to-hire opportunity Weekly Pay with direct deposit or pay card When you work through The Reserves Network, you are eligible to enroll in dental, vision and medical insurance as well as 401(k), direct deposit and the referral bonus program Job Description An established 3PL warehouse operation is seeking a Dock Coordinator / Scheduler to manage inbound and outbound truck traffic. You will check in drivers, coordinate dock assignments with the warehouse team, and maintain accurate shipment paperwork. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and prior warehouse, transportation, or logistics experience.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate inbound and outbound trailer schedules and assign drivers to available dock doors Communicate with drivers, carriers, dispatchers, and warehouse personnel regarding arrivals, departures, ETAs, and shipment status Monitor dock activity and help resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, bottlenecks, and changes in priority Maintain accurate shipping records, including BOLs, trailer seals, check-in/check-out information, and other freight documentation File, organize, and distribute shipment paperwork while coordinating with warehouse teams to support receiving and shipping operations
Qualifications and Requirements:
1-3+ years of experience in warehouse, transportation, 3PL dock/yard operations, distribution, or a related logistics environment Working knowledge of BOLs, freight documentation, and basic carrier processes Strong verbal communication skills and confidence communicating directly with truck drivers and internal team members Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Experience with WMS, TMS, or dock scheduling systems preferred Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency preferred Cross-dock, distribution, logistics, or detention/demurrage experience preferred Ability to follow and reinforce established yard and safety procedures, including PPE and traffic-flow requirements
