We design and build modular tube and joint solutions for a wide range of businesses. We are seeking a motivated, experienced individual to oversee our warehouse operations including shipping and receiving, production and inventory management.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Supervisor is primarily responsible for supervising production and warehouse activities and staff, ensuring that planned schedules are completed on time. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
  • Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of production and warehouse activities with other functions such as sales and purchasing.
  • Plan sequential activities of teams within the factory (picking, CNC, Saw, Assembly, Packing) to ensure efficient flow of orders through the factory.
  • Communicate expectations to team members and monitor progress of both teams and individuals.
  • Implement, monitor and sustain 5S standards throughout the factory.
  • Inspect physical condition of factory and equipment. Request maintenance, repairs and requisitions for new equipment as needed.
  • Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
  • Participate in hiring, interviewing, training and developing, performance appraisal, and employee feedback. Coordinate with HR should issues arise.
  • Review and approve warehouse staff timekeeping for payroll.
  • Check incoming goods from suppliers to ensure accuracy of shipping documentation and quality of materials received.
  • Load and unload vehicles as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow written work instructions.
  • Good numeracy and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Possess good physical stamina. Could be required to stand and/or walk for long periods daily with frequent bending, twisting, stooping and reaching. Could be required to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Possess ability to use small power tools or other equipment.
  • Requires the ability to safely operate a forklift.
  • Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Possess ability to read blueprints.
