JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for shipping/receiving small packages, purchased goods, and LTL shipments. Movement of all goods and materials within all departments at Douglas Finishing.

Tag and store all incoming goods.

Keep warehouse and storage areas neat and cleanDeliver goods, parts, chemicals, etc. to appropriate departments in finishing.

Movement of parts between Douglas Finishing and Main PlantRemove, wrap and prepare all finished goods from shop floor for shipmentPackage all shipments appropriately in a secure and sturdy manner.

Prepare daily small packages for pickup.

Operate forklift to move incoming freightKeep outdoor areas free of screws/nails using magnet for forkliftCertified for Hazardous Materials in TransportationIn depth understanding of handling and storage of hazardous materials - Director LevelIn depth understanding of transporting and storage of hazardous chemicalsClose down shipping at the end of each day, leave instructions with 2nd shift Anodize lead for any shipments not picked up prior to 5:00.5S team member.

Is capable of working with other employees in a service environment.

Responsible for complying with all safety policies and procedures.

Any other duties that are identified by the department supervisor as appropriate for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Possess Forklift truck certification or has the ability to obtain forklift truck certification.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The mental and physical ability to learn and perform the above list of duties and responsibilities and/or demonstrated prior work experience. Possesses or is able to obtain forklift truck certification. Maintain a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.

OTHER INFORMATION

All full-time positions offer attractive compensation and benefits that include ESOP stock allocation, 401(k) match, a company health clinic, medical, dental, life and disability insurance, volunteer time off, along with holiday pay and paid time off. The base pay for this role is $17.50-$20.00 per hour. This is a weekend shift and will receive a shift differential of 10%, resulting in an adjusted wage of $19.25-$22.00 per hour.
