Job Description
Supervise daily transportation operations, overseeing driver scheduling, vehicle maintenance, and loading safety to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulations (DOT, OSHA). Oversee staff, manage DOT audits, vehicle conditions, and minimize downtime to meet operational demands. Maintain all record keeping related to drivers, trucks and the product being transported. Key Responsibilities Operational Oversight:
Direct daily vehicle operations, including dispatching, routing, and loading procedures.Fleet Maintenance:
Coordinates preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure vehicle safety and reduce downtime.Staff Supervision:
trains, schedules, and evaluates drivers and maintenance personnel.Safety and Compliance:
Ensures compliance with DOT, MSHA, OSHA, and local regulations, including conducting audits and managing safety protocols.Fleet Supervisor:
Maintains accurate vehicle maintenance records.Product Documentation Records :
Maintain proper product documentation (photos, adhere UL labeling and paperwork daily for each project and delivery)Loading Product:
Oversee loading and help with loading at times to ensure product arrives at destination safely and on time.Required Qualifications Experience:
Requires experience in fleet operations, maintenance, or logistics.Supervisory Skills:
Proven experience in managing personnel.Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity withDOT/OSHA
regulations and fleet management information systems. Forklift certification/ability Ability to accomplish or facilitate minor repairs on trucks and trailers Computer skills related to digital record keeping tasksKey Competencies Leadership:
Ability to lead and motivate a team.Problem-Solving:
Capability to handle logistical challenges and repair issues efficiently.Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with drivers, customers, and management.Pay:
