General Purpose:
The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for supporting the Warehouse Operations Manager, ensuring the day-to-day activities of the warehouse run seamlessly and as scheduled. in the daily operation of the warehouse and overall employee experience . He/she demonstrates leadership by modelling GoodwillNYNJ CARE
service standards to elevate warehouse performance. This individual will help to train and coach associates to achieve daily productivity goals. The Warehouse Operations Team Lead executes the movement and distribution of raw/corporate donations based on direction from the Warehouse Operations Manager. The Warehouse Team Lead provides daily inventory counts to the Warehouse Operations Manager, making recommendations on the amount of inventory to cycle through.Essential Functions:
Lead warehouse team to meet/exceed operational goals by implementing strategic plans to drive efficiencies; utilizing key metrics to support performance and drive improvements. Review store product, transfer, equipment and supply requests at 2pm daily. Ensure all store requests are placed in the appropriate grid to be loaded by Ryder truck driver. Provide consistent feedback to the Warehouse Operations Manager and Ryder dispatcher to minimize delivery/pick up discrepancies to ensure service levels are met. Support the Operations Manager and Director to, train, and develop team ensuring all positions are filled in a timely manner with qualified candidates. Guide and provide in the moment training and provide feedback to the Operations Manager to resolve employee relation issues in a timely and effective manner. Conduct monthly audit and review of product/trash sent by stores to the warehouse, ensuring adherence to labeling SOP. Communicate findings to the Warehouse Operations Manager as identified. Ensure that all product pickups are communicated upon arrival to the Warehouse Operations Manager and stored in the designated area for review and distribution. Monitor to ensure that all Health and Safety protocols are being adhered to by all warehouse employees and visitors and notify the appropriate leader if they are not. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the warehouse is maintained consistently. Ensure that all equipment is operational through consistent inspection. Communicate any findings to the Warehouse Operations Manager and Director of Logistics immediately. Ensure that Goodwill and Ryder employees are adhering to security protocols, partnering with Ryder Senior Manager, VP of Asset Protection and Director of Logistics when necessary. Ensure all opening/closing security protocols are performed every shift worked. Ensure that all Asset Protection protocols are adhered to, partnering to identify internal and external Loss Prevention issues. Provide feedback and observations to the Operations Manager to support employee performance. Assume the responsibilities of the Warehouse Operations Manager in their absence, meeting the same level of expectation. Perform other related duties, as assigned by the Warehouse Operations Manager and Director of Logistics. Activities are subject to change/added to meet business needs with management approval.Qualifications:
The following qualifications are required:- Strong Communication Skills (written and verbal) with team members, leadership teams and colleagues.
- Flexible to work all shifts (nights and weekends). Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Able to remain on feet for long periods of time.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
