Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized, hands-on Warehouse & Operations Manager to join our leadership team and report directly to the General Manager. This role partners closely with store leadership to support company-wide goals and ensure alignment across purchasing, logistics, warehouse operations, and employee management. Success in this role requires someone who understands the big picture, collaborates across departments, and balances operational efficiency with overall business priorities, especially during high-volume and holiday periods. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Purchasing & Inventory Order flowers, plants, hard goods, office, and janitorial supplies Manage vendor invoices, credits, and alternative vendor purchases Track fresh flower inventory and weekly flower dump Notify the Web Team of out-of-stock items or pricing issues Logistics & Fleet Management Oversee delivery routing, including timed and holiday deliveries Schedule and track vehicle maintenance, registrations, emissions, and fuel reconciliation Monitor vehicle cameras and coach drivers as needed Report accidents and manage required documentation Warehouse & Facility Operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, cooler, and design room Receive and verify shipments Assess equipment issues, perform minor repairs, or obtain vendor quotes Manage security systems, alarms, lighting, HVAC scheduling, and site safety Employee Management Interview, hire, onboard, train, schedule, and offboard warehouse staff and drivers Maintain vacation records and approve requests Submit written warnings when needed Ensure completion of required training and safety classes Administration Submit payroll hours for warehouse employees, drivers, and contract drivers Print monthly price lists and menus Handle after-hours calls related to product availability Qualifications Strong organizational and multitasking skills Experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or multi-site operations Floral experience is preferred but not necessary Ability to manage people, vendors, and time-sensitive deadlines Flexible and dependable during holidays and peak seasons Peoples Flowers is a part of Family Flowers, America's largest family-owned florist with 40 locations in 10 states and still growing!
