Job Description

Horizon Forest Products is the distributor of Impressions Flooring Collection and offers customers over 75 years of industry experience and one of the most comprehensive inventories of pre-finished and unfinished hardwood flooring, floor equipment, abrasives, finishes, fasteners, and accessories in the mid-Atlantic and Texas region. We are searching for an individual who can lead, motivate, and support a team within a demanding environment. You will manage overall operations and will be responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control and safety measures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing all programs, operational, safety and personnel policies and procedures Complies with federal, state and local warehousing, material handling and shipping requirements Studies new and existing legislation, enforces adherence to requirements, and advises management on needed actions Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols Verifies inventory accuracy by conducting cycle counts and reconciling with data storage system Works with Purchasing to determine correct stocking levels for products Works with Sales to determine the best way to meet customer needs and expectations Maintains physical condition of warehouse by organizing and labeling products as well as bin location maintenance Inspects equipment and facilities; issues requisitions for repair or requests for replacement Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees Increases operational performance by appraising, coaching and correcting employees Other duties as needed including duties associated with the positions of
Warehouse or Delivery Driver Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Excellent organizational and time management skills Comply with all safety rules, regulations and policies and procedures Minimum -
Anticipated Maximum Salary:
$62,000 - $65,000/year• The advertised pay range represents what Horizon Forest Products believes we would anticipate paying for this position.
