Warehouse Team Coordinator

About the Role We are seeking a skilled and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure efficient workflow. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, proficiency in operating material handling equipment, and expertise in inventory management using tools like RF scanners and data management systems. Responsibilities Coordinate and supervise warehouse staff to optimize productivity and maintain a safe working environment. Operate and maintain material handling equipment, including reach trucks and forklifts, to move and store materials efficiently. Manage inventory control processes, including cycle counts and utilizing RF scanners, to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies. Utilize data systems to input, retrieve, and analyze data related to warehouse operations, inventory levels, and order fulfillment. Prioritize and delegate tasks effectively to meet deadlines and achieve operational goals. Serve as a liaison between warehouse staff, drivers, and other departments to facilitate smooth communication and collaboration. Uphold safety standards and promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the warehouse. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall warehouse performance. Qualifications Required Skills Proficiency in operating material handling equipment such as reach trucks and forklifts. Experience with cycle counts and RF scanners for inventory management. Competency in using computer systems, including MS Office Suite, for data entry and analysis. Ability to lift 75+ lbs on a frequent and repetitive basis. Preferred Skills Experience managing a team of warehouse associates and drivers. Familiarity with data management systems for inputting and retrieving data. Knowledge of routing common carriers and local company truck deliveries. Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
