Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and organized Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to manage the daily flow of incoming and outgoing materials, products, and shipments in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for receiving materials, preparing customer shipments, maintaining accurate inventory and shipping records, ordering raw materials, coordinating with production and office staff, and ensuring orders are packed and shipped correctly and on time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, able to work independently, and comfortable handling both paperwork and physical warehouse duties. Key ResponsibilitiesShipping Prepare finished products for shipment according to customer requirements. Package, label, and stage outgoing orders safely and accurately. Create packing slips, bills of lading, shipping labels, and other required documents. Coordinate shipments with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, freight companies, and customer-arranged transportation. Schedule freight pickups and communicate shipment status to internal staff. Verify that outgoing shipments match customer orders and packing documentation. Help ensure products are properly protected to prevent damage during transit. Receiving Receive incoming raw materials, supplies, parts, and equipment. Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and missing items. Compare received goods against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices. Report damaged, incorrect, or incomplete shipments to the appropriate department. Properly label, organize, and store received materials. Deliver materials to the correct departments or storage locations. Inventory and Records Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records. Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed. Update internal systems, spreadsheets, or paperwork to reflect received and shipped materials. Monitor shipping supplies and notify management when supplies need to be reordered. Help maintain organized storage areas for finished goods, raw materials, and packaging supplies. Prepare purchase orders for raw materials necessary for production & operation. Warehouse and Safety Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, if qualified. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area. Follow all company safety policies and proper lifting procedures. Assist production, quality, and customer service teams as needed. Support continuous improvement efforts related to warehouse organization, shipping accuracy, and workflow efficiency. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent. Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to read and understand purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents. Basic computer skills, including email and data entry. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Preferred Forklift experience or willingness to become certified. Experience with UPS, FedEx, freight shipping, or carrier software. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Familiarity with inventory systems, ERP software, or Microsoft Excel. Basic understanding of quality inspection for incoming and outgoing goods. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed. Ability to safely move pallets, boxes, and materials using proper equipment. Comfortable working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing facility and may involve working near production equipment, forklifts, raw materials, finished goods, and freight areas. The role requires frequent communication with production, purchasing, quality, sales, and management staff. Pay:
