Position Summary:
Oversee consolidation of shipments for accuracy and to the degree of providing input relative to freight costs, urgency of expediting requests, carrier selection and cost versus service issues. Act as a liaison between transportation and other departments and distribution centers. Oversee Freight Payment to all Domestic Carriers. What will you do? The Shipping Supervisor will primarily be focused on customer order building and direct to consumer shipments.
This includes:
Supervises assigned shipping employees in the performance of daily tasks, evaluates changing priorities in response to customer s request, reassigns resources as appropriate Review daily consolidations to ensure proper handling of expediting requests, optimum carrier/route selection and maintenance of expected customer service information. Level load case pick requirements to optimum levels for DC operations. Point of contact (POC) for all operational needs - internal and external customers (will up-channel issues to the appropriate level). Review routings to ensure proper carrier assignment. Create manual shipments/ delivery due lists when appropriate. Ensure ship sure requests are processed in a timely manner. Carrier issue management with internal and external customers. Ensure adequate truckload capacity in trailer pools, both DC s. Generate data and metrics for EOM/EOQ reporting. Expedite and trace shipment(s) as necessary. Provide directions to carriers to initiate expediting activities and determine course of action for shipments to customers which are late. Daily Invoice Management in Blu Jay TMS System to pay for all Domestic Transportation Vendors Create reports and Spreadsheets upon request using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Maintains good housekeeping conditions in working areas. Observes safety regulations and practices.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift over 50 pounds. Eighty per cent of the time will be spent on the production floor.
Qualifications:
High School diploma required, bachelor s degree technical or engineering preferred, or equivalent experience Minimum 2-5 years of supervisory experience (preferably in a union environment) 5 years experience supervising in shipping and receiving Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and 5S principles Ability to make decisions, troubleshoot, problem solve and multi-task Good verbal/written communication skills Strong leadership skills, good team player Basic to intermediate computer skills Must be available to work any shift, primarily four, 10-hour days or five 8-hour days EEO Corelle Brands. participates in

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP Accounting software; Microsoft Office Word Processing software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software; SAP Manufacturing software; SAP Inventory software and etime/ADP Payroll systems.

Comp Range:
$75k-$78k This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
