Job Description

Radiology candidates who accept a part-time or full-time position with University Hospitals are eligible for: Competitive hourly rate Enhanced PTO for candidates with 5+ years of relevant work experience Sign-on bonus ($10,000 for full-time or $5,000 for part-time) Tuition reimbursement after six months Career Ladder Progression Free Parking A Brief Overview Performs MRI scans at the direction of physician protocol. Provides compassionate age-specific care to patientsfrom neonates through geriatrics. What You Will Do Demonstrates successful patient/technical skills by producing a variety of MRI procedures while maintaining the high standards of patient care. Collaborates effectively with co-workers and staff to ensure that assignments are completed in a professional and effective manner. Displays a commitment to hospital's missions and values. Assists with preparing written documentation as required by the profession, department, hospital and accrediting bodies. Assists manager with ODH, MQSA, and JCAHO readiness. Participates in the inspection process. Assists Supervisor with ACR Accreditation. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of department and associated work areas in compliance with JACHO regulations. Provides age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics. Provides intermittent direct and indirect supervision of employees in an assigned area to provide support in the supervisor absence. Assists supervisor in maintaining licensure and continuing education requirements of staff. Preserves support for the learning environment of the hospital and MRI section. Performs timekeeping edits as needed and approvals in the supervisors' absence. Maintains modality schedule, PTO requests, staffing to volumes in conjunction with the supervisor. Responsible for PACS QC and follow up reporting patterns to the supervisor. Requests and assists in the maintenance of supplies necessary for department operations. Performs daily billing reconciliation, uses administrative skills to contribute to the successful operations of MRI, can be required to act as MRI Safety Officer. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Education Associate's Degree Completion of an accredited 2-year program in a school of Radiologic, MRI, or NuclearMedicine Technology (Required) or
Other Accredited Program:
Completion of an accredited program in a school of Sonography with currentARDMS certificate (Required) and High School Equivalent / GED (Required) Work Experience 5+ years As registered technologist (Required) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of modality, computers, patient transport equipment, O2 tanks, immobilization devices, radiology information system and PACS, Excellent knowledge of MRI Safety protocols (Required proficiency) Must demonstrate effective organizational, written and oral communication skills.
